What if we counted 6 dual months of 61 days each ?

6 x 61 = 366 days, same as a leap year.

Only the final dual month is missing the final day on non-leap years.

We could simply pair the months so that they alternated 30 and 31 days, then we would simply have this period as an overlay on the simplified roman calendar.
